Under our Corporate Purpose of “Driving the possibilities of mobility with technology and passion,” JATCO will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society to respond to carbon neutrality and other societal needs though both our automotive business and our new businesses beyond automobiles.

At this year’s exhibition, under the theme “Electric Powertrains and New Businesses: From Seeds to Fruition,” JATCO will showcase products and technologies currently being introduced to the market in both electrification and new business fields.
JATCO will exhibit cutaway models of its electric powertrains “3-in-1” (for electric vehicles) and “5-in-1” (for e-POWER), which were launched in fiscal year 2025. In addition to introducing their technical features that enable compactness and high efficiency, we will also present insights from market experience gained through mass production and market introduction. Furthermore, JATCO will focus on its gearbox technologies as key element technologies that enable these performance capabilities. As electric powertrains continue to evolve toward higher performance, while motors are becoming increasingly high-speed and high-output, optimization of the entire system is becoming more important than ever. In this context, gearbox technologies play a crucial role. Leveraging design and manufacturing expertise cultivated over many years in automotive transmissions, JATCO will demonstrate highly versatile products and technologies capable of flexibly meeting diverse vehicle requirements.

In addition, by applying technologies centered on gearbox systems, JATCO is strengthening its efforts in new businesses beyond automobiles. In 2026, several products are entering the market introduction phase.
As part of these initiatives, JATCO will exhibit an electric-assist bicycle equipped with its proprietary drive unit “GLIDE AXCEL,” including both a complete bicycle and cutaway models of the drive unit. JATCO will also exhibit an electric motorcycle equipped with a two-speed automatic in-wheel motor drive unit jointly developed with Zhejiang Jiuzhou New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a prominent Chinese electric two-wheeler drive unit manufacturer.
These exhibits highlight the application of gearbox technologies cultivated in automotive transmissions to two-wheeled mobility, demonstrating their technical features and future potential.
On the other hand, as a challenge into new fields beyond the extension of conventional drivetrain technologies, JATCO will also exhibit “Lifmy,” a wheelchair with a transfer-assist mechanism. Lifmy was developed to reduce the physical and mental burden on both users and caregivers, and represents a solution unique to JATCO that combines mechanical design and control technologies.

Through these exhibits, JATCO is expanding the scope of mobility based on transmission technologies cultivated in automotive transmissions, and continues its efforts to grow the “seeds” of new businesses into tangible “fruition.”
