A “one-motor two-clutch” has been used for the new CVT which offers a significant friction reduction and wider ratio coverage.

Transmission (“one-motor two-clutch” type) for a F.W.D. hybrid vehicle with a built-in motor and a clutch for engaging or disconnecting engine in the converter housing of the CVT has been achieved. This is both compact and lighter than ever before, and allows to be installed onto many model grades. JATCO will offer the new products with high environmental performance further.

Improved response and direct feel

The required power is generated through motor assist. By combining a smooth-shifting CVT that cannot be experienced on standard transmission with power generated at low rpm, it achieves a good response and direct feel which can always respond to the driver’s needs.
