JATCO Ltd, a leading manufacturer of automatic transmissions (AT) and continuously variable transmissions (CVTs), will be making its debut at the Auto Shanghai 2015, which will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai April 22-29 (press days: April 20-21). 

As one of a handful of AT and CVT specialist manufacturers in the world, JATCO will be exhibiting a lineup of innovative products at the motor show. These include transmission systems for hybrid vehicles, which use a breakthrough technology of a single-motor and dual-clutch system, CVTs manufactured by the company that give it the No. 1 CVT share in the world, a step AT for compact FWD vehicles that are highly appraised in the Chinese market, as well as a step AT for mid- and large-sized RWD vehicles.

Automatic transmissions are playing an increasingly more significant role in the Chinese market, where the demand for vehicles shows no sign of abating. They provide greater enjoyment and comfort during driving, and enable a smooth start and acceleration in urban centers where traffic is often congested. Amidst a growing concern for global environmental problems, JATCO’s CVTs are able, even in the Chinese market, to perform to an outstanding level while being kinder to the environment.
