Catching a glimpse of the future of transmissions at Tokyo Motor Show

The theme of JATCO Ltd’s product lineup at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show will “creating a future for transmissions.” In addition to our current lineup of next-generation CVTs, we will display a concept model of a CVT of the future. The show opens to the public on Friday, November 22 and will be held at Tokyo Big Sight.

Overview of JATCO’s exhibits:

● Future CVT concept model

● Jatco CVT8 (cutaway model): new-generation CVT for medium and large FWD vehicles

● Jatco CVT8 HYBRID (cutaway model): new-generation transmission for FWD hybrid vehicles

● Jatco CVT7 (cutaway model): CVT with auxiliary gearbox for mini and compact FWD vehicles

● Transmissions for RWD hybrid vehicles (cutaway model)

● 7-speed AT for medium and large RWD vehicles (cutaway model)

● 4-speed AT for small FWD vehicles (visual model) in emerging countries

● CVT operational CVT model that gives a hands-on learning experience of a belt CVT’s mechanism

Presentations will be conducted on a daily basis at the booth to give visitors a greater understanding of the potential of our products. JATCO President Takashi Hata will hold a press briefing at the booth [booth location: East Hall 4 (E4001)] at 2.15 p.m., Thursday, November 21 (English simultaneous translation will be available).
