JATCO Ltd. (President & CEO Takashi Hata, Headquartered in Fuji City, Shizuoka, Japan, Capital: 29,935,300,000 JPY), a company specializing in automatic, continuously variable transmission (AT CVT), will exhibit its products at Automotive Engineering Exposition 2012, organized by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), to be held at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall from May 23 to May 25, 2012 (3 days).

JATCO has the largest market share on a global basis for continuously variable transmissions (CVT). JATCO is focused on “reducing CO2 through transmissions” and will present its full CVT lineup, including the Jatco CVT8 (New generation CVT for medium and large front wheel drive vehicles), Jatco CVT8 HYBRID (New transmission for front wheel drive hybrid vehicles), and Jatco CVT7 (the world’s first CVT with auxiliary gearbox), in order to present the unique features of its products and efforts to reduce its environmental footprint. The booth will display an operating principle model, which enables attendees to learn about the actuation mechanism of the belt CVT.

JATCO will continue to carry out all kinds of technological development for CVT and AT to contribute to providing users with improved fuel efficiency and a more comfortable driving performance, including research and development for the improvement of performance, the optimal synchronization between transmissions and engines, and the development of lighter and more compact units.
