JATCO Ltd (Headquartered in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan: president & CEO, Shigeo Ishida: Capitalization, 29.9353 billion yen), Automatic Transmissions and Continuously Variable Transmissions (AT/CVT) manufacturer, will exhibit its products in the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2009, organized by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), to be held at the Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall from May 20 to may 22, 2009 (3 days).

On this occasion, under the theme of “JATCO, contributing to CO2 reductions by CVT,” we are focusing the spotlight on JATCO’s core product, the CVT, which has drawn attention as one of the industry’s environmentally friendly technologies. In addition to exhibiting cross-sectional models of our full lineup products, such information as the evolution of CVT technology, and the cause of CO2 reductions effect, will be shown on panels. Furthermore, we will also invite people to touch CVT operating principle models , in order to experience the operating principle of CVT, which cannot be seen normally.

JATCO will continue to carry out all kinds of technological development for CVT to contribute to providing users with improved fuel efficiency and a more comfortable driving performance, including research and development for the improvement of performance, the optimal synchronization between transmissions and engines, and the development of lighter and more compact units.
