JATCO Ltd, a manufacturer that specializes in automotive transmissions (AT/CVT), will participate in the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2014 (sponsored by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan), which introduces the latest trends in automotive technology. The exposition will be held at Pacifico Yokohama for the three days between Wednesday, March 21 and Friday, March 23.

JATCO Ltd (Acting President Seiji Honda; headquarters in Fuji City, Shizuoka, Japan; capital: JPY 29.94 billion) is the world’s leading manufacturer of continuously variable transmissions (CVT) with 49% of the global market share in 2013. Based on the theme of “realizing a society where automobiles and the environment coexist in harmony,” JATCO will showcase its lineup of CVTs that are suitable for mini cars through to large 3.5-liter vehicles. It is the only CVT manufacturer in the world to offer such a wide range of CVTs. Other transmissions at the exhibit include a step AT that continues to aim for greater fuel efficiency and engine performance, as well as a new model transmission for hybrid vehicles that features advanced control technology. A future CVT concept model will also be a part of the display. Through an operational CVT model at the booth visitors will be able to get a hands-on feel of the JATCO CVT mechanism that makes them so fuel efficient.
